ShowBiz Pizza Place opened it's first emporium
on March 3, 1980 in Kansas City, Missouri and became an immediate success due largely to the hip and exciting Billy Bob
& the Rock-a-fire Explosion stage show and has a profitable first few years. In 1984, with
record profits, the company buys out struggling Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre and saves them from bankruptcy.
During the next six years, the company increases revenue and makes many changes and by the 1990s the Rock-a-fire Explosion
and ShowBiz Pizza are fazed out as the company decides the Chuck E. Cheese brand was more recognizable.
In November 2005, during a wild dream, and due to increasing demand for the Rock-a-fire Explosion, a single ShowBiz Pizza
is re-opened in the Downtown Disney area of Anaheim, CA and becomes an overnight sensation. ShowBiz Pizza
is re-formed and the company secures Exclusive rights to the Rock-a-fire Explosion by signing a new
lifetime contract with the original creator of the stage show, Aaron Fechter and Creative Engineering.
